A 92nd-minute equaliser from Heybridge’s Rob Harvey with a diving header deposed AFC Sudbury from the top of the table.
Sudbury started well and were in front in the fifth minute when a long ball by Josh Pollard allowed Nnamdi Nwachuku coolly slotting past Thomas Whay.
Heybridge were level after 36 minutes when, following a scramble near the Sudbury line, Ollie Brown could only help the ball into his own net.
