CHIPSTEAD made a fast start with two goals in 16 minutes, Andy Somo controlling a long ball and stroking in for the first before outmuscling the defence again for 2-0.
But Basingstoke got a lifeline after 21 minutes when George Reid’s low free-kick snuck in, and completed the comeback in the second half.
Paul Hodges scored the equaliser from close range after 62 minutes, and six minutes later the referee showed Michak Stanic-Stewart a straight red card for a challenge running back towards his own goal.
