Fin fires Brig into play-off berths

BAMBER Bridge moved back into the play-off places with a 2-0 win over Atherton Collieries at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.
Brig had the first clear-cut chance of the afternoon, star man Paul Dawson’s 20-yard strike forcing Atherton goalkeeper Mackenzie Chapman into a diving save to tip the ball over on six minutes.
Jamie Milligan’s side deservedly took the lead on 18 minutes. Finlay Sinclair-Smith received the ball outside the area before striking a superb curling effort that nestled in the far corner of the net.
