Clegg’s blues at shot-shy Rylands

MICHAEL Clegg picked up his first point as manager of Warrington Rylands as his new charges played out a goalless draw at Gorsey Lane with FC United of Manchester.
There were very few goal-scoring opportunities in a typical, and at times scrappy, mid-season game between two mid-table sides with little to play for as their hopes of clinching play-off places fade. The result leaves the sides 10th and 11th in the table, too many points shy of the play-offs and with no threat of relegation.
