BENN QUITS BLUES

WAYNE Benn has quit as manager of struggling Northern Counties East Premier side Frickley Athletic.
The former Bradford Park Avenue and Frickley player resigned immediately after last Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat to Thackley – an eighth game without a win for the Blues.
Benn, who has previously run Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Ossett United, joined the club just before last summer and rebuilt the side following Dave Frecklington departure in the wake of the club’s relegation from Northern Premier Division One East.
