Sedge survive to seal result

A STORMING first-half display saw Liversedge claim another vital victory, though it wasn’t all plain sailing away at Broadhurst Park.
Jonathan Rimmington’s men needed just 63 seconds to break the deadlock, as Jack Carr slammed home a rebound after Dan Lavercombe’s initial save from Nathan Cartman’s header.
The Reds almost pegged them back on 23 minutes, but Keane Barugh fired narrowly wide from distance. The Sedge doubled their advantage five minutes later, when another cross was guided home by Kurt Harris.
