HARTLEY Wintney grabbed the only goal to edge this basement battle and lift themselves off the bottom of the table.
It was Yate’s seventh consecutive league defeat and their position in the division to looks increasingly precarious. The home side welcomed back striker Kyle Tooze after a spell out through injury while the visitors gave a debut to Adam Laaref, following his move from Hanwell.
There was little goalmouth action in an uninspiring but largely even first half.
