SOUTHALL moved to within the points of the play-offs, with a game in hand, by beating Bedfont by a single goal at the Robert Parker Stadium.
The game was a tense affair with both teams desperate for points for different reasons.
The game was decided by a fine goal from Jayden Thompson-Brissett in the 45th minute.
Despite numerous chances in the second half, the score remained the same.
And while Southall are now up to eighth, a point behind Binfield and Chertsey, Bedford Sports are still stuck in the bottom three.
