STEVE Kittrick’s first home game in charge of Basford United ended in defeat as Redditch United ran out narrow winners.
Bernard Mensah Jnr scored the only goal of the game with just 15 minutes remaining in a dull affair at Greenwich Avenue.
None of the 303 in attendance could really have put the first half into words much better than this after both sides just shared the one opportunity in the opening 45 minutes.
