■ A FIRST-HALF goal was enough for Mossley to secure all three points in a scrappy game at Townfield
Kai Payne was the matchwinner with a fine strike that went in off the bar.
The half fizzled out with neither side testing their opposition keeper again.
1874 had to look for a way back in to the game, and a number of attacks were defended well by the visitors.
Mark Jones was shown a straight red card for a tackle when Eden Bailey broke through on goal.
Another red card for 1874 followed, Liam Buckley once again appeared to win the ball in the tackle...
