GRANTHAM got a valuable three points with a comfortable win over Consett at the Meres.
The home side got off to the perfect start when returning striker Greg Smith headed home at the far post.
Grantham continued to press with Consett caught offside when they countered.
Dan Haystead saved at his near post at the expense of a corner before Smith brought a good save from Foden. Lee Shaw chipped the keeper but the ball went narrowly wide. Grantham increased their lead after 41 minutes when Joe Stacey fired home.
