MICKLEOVER made it seven wins out of eight in their late charge for a play-off spot as they narrowly beat Royston.
Andy Dales scored the only goal of the game to continue Mickleover’s fine form and inflict a second successive defeat on Royston.
It was a deserved win with the home side starting strongest, hitting the bar within the opening three minutes.
And after that early warning, Royston fell behind seven minutes later through Dales’ fine strike.
