SANDHURST Town president Tony Dean has thanked Football Association chiefs for their understanding after answering calls for an extension to the season for clubs at Steps 5 and 6.
Waterlogged pitches and unavailability have posed an administrative nightmare for the Berkshire club who, prior to the decision, had 11 games to play in just 10 days before the conclusion of their Combined Counties Division One season.
