■ ROSS Gilfedder scored the only goal of the game as Gorleston edged it over Maldon & Tiptree.
The first half was a typical end-of-season affair between two sides with nothing to play for, with the only shot of note a Nathan Stewart effort which was well saved by visiting keeper Robert Budd.
Maldon had the better of the opening stages of the second half, although Stewart was denied by a Budd tackle and Craig Parker saw a header go inches wide.
