■ PRESCOT Cables finished their season in fine style after running out comfortable winners against Hanley Town.
And the scoreline did not tell the full story of just how dominant the home side were.
Charlie Glennon started the scoring after 16 minutes with a fine side-footed effort.
It was to be the only goal of the half, despite chances for John Murphy, Kyle Sambor and Glennon.
The second half saw an utterly ruthless performance from the home side. Murphy got his customary goal, heading in just before the hour.
