■ ALREADY-relegated Ramsbottom United finished their season with a smile thanks to victory over Newcastle Town.
Wealth DaSilva, one of two early substitutions enforced by injuries, gave them a first-half lead when the Rams were awarded a 40th-minute penalty.
DaSilva’s spot-kick was saved, but he was able to react to put the rebound away.
The home side were 2-0 up in the 56th minute when great work by Owen Collinge put centre-forward Jordan Southworth away and he was able to poke the ball home.
Newcastle pulled a goal back eight minutes later...
