HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS moved one step nearer promotion with victory away to third-placed Lowestoft Town.
Lowestoft were close to taking an early lead but Rhys Logan’s drive smacked the bar. Travis Cole then sent a header inches too high.
Failing to score would come haunt the Trawlerboys as Heybridge imposed themselves in the second period. The breakthrough was on the hour when Sam Park steered wide of Warren Burwood.
Four minutes later Park’s shot fell to Matt Price and he pounced to hit home the loose ball.
