WHITEHAWK’S play-off journey began with a home tie against Beckenham Town and the hosts would claim a win in a tense affair under the lights.
A season-high 702 steamed through the gates and it was the Hawks that began on the front foot, testing Becks’ goalkeeper Nick Blue twice.
The momentum continued as Nathan Cooper rose highest from an Alfie Rogers freekick to power his side into the lead on 58 minutes.
