LEEK Town were left heartbroken, as Runcorn Linnets eased to victory to secure a place in the Northern Premier League West Division play-off final.
The game was over before it got going for Leek, as Lewis Doyle opened the scoring in the 11th minute, before Eden Gumbs made it 2-0 just nine minutes later.
Even when they found a bit of hope too, the hosts were brutally dispatched, with Tim Grice’s goal to halve the deficit cancelled out by Ryan Brooke’s effort to make it 3-1 mere moments later. With the final to look forward to, Runcorn Linnets ...
