HYDE United and National League side Oldham Athletic couldn’t conjure up a goal, but expressed satisfaction at stepping up their preparations for the new season.
Oldham looked shaky early in the game. Harry Ditchfield caught the defence out with a long throw which left them static and Harry Bunn found Jack Redshaw. He got past his man but his shot went agonisingly wide of the post.
