ALDERSHOT pushed League One opponents Wycombe all the way in an entertaining, keenly-contested friendly.
The hosts had looked lively before Wycombe snatched a 26th-minute lead, D’Mani Mellor breaking past Christian Maghoma to fire a 20-yard shot which spun into the bottom corner.
Soon, Kwame Thomas’s header hit the post and Jack Barham’s flick was blocked for Shots, but a strong first-half display was overshadowed by a serious-looking injury to new signing Maghoma.
