BANBURY United passed their final pre-season test with flying colours before next week’s big kick-off as they overcame Maidenhead United.
The Magpies had the better of the opening exchanges but could not find a way past Jack Harding.
Magpies midfielder Shawn McCoulsky was denied by a double save from Harding before the break before the Puritans were boosted by the arrival of substitute Craig Hewitt for the second half.
He took the game straight to the visitors with a great run down the left.
