CAMPION OFF TO A FLYER AS SYKES STRIKES

NEWLY-promoted Campion are the early leaders of the Premier Division following their opening day 3-0 win at Frickley Athletic.
It took striker Paddy Sykes just eight minutes to open the scoring when he headed in from close range before substitute Joe Colley wrapped things up with two goals in four minutes late in the game, including a fine acrobatic effort.
Eccleshall United also enjoyed life on the road on day one, returning from Bottesford Town with a 2-0 win, Jamal Stewart with a brace in the final 15 minutes.
