NEWLY-PROMOTED Macclesfield got the better of recently-relegated Bradford (Park Avenue) to start their season in style.
A goal in either half saw Macclesfield run out victors, despite attacker James Berry completing his departure to National League side Chesterfield.
The Silkmen didn’t allow Berry’s departure to affect them, as goals from Alex Curran and Luke Duffy handed them the points.
