AN efficient first half from Hanwell carried them past a spirited Basingstoke side who huffed and puffed without getting the goal their play deserved until deep into stoppage time.
’Stoke started strongly but were caught out at a corner as Dwayne Duncan headed home, and from that point Hanwell defended deep and challenged Basingstoke to play through them.
