LEATHERHEAD edged a tight match which saw nine yellow cards issued, including a second yellow for Southall’s Joshua Green after 66 minutes.
Ollie Cook put the hosts ahead after 54 minutes with a close range strike following Kenny Beaney’s freekick. Southall levelled three minutes later when Anthony Mendy latched onto a poor clearance from Leatherhead keeper Mikey Allen and lobbed him from 30 yards.
Mendy missed a chance to put the visitors ahead three minutes later, forcing a fine low save from Allen.
