Fans helped Bury dream come true

READING the article on Bury last Sunday (NLP, August 6), I felt the comments by Phil Young hid a big part of the story. I hope you will allow me to tell that story as briefly as possible.
On Thursday May 7, 2021 a group of friends gathered at a hairdressing salon in Bury (socially distanced of course) to discuss if it would be possible to buy Gigg Lane.
As a result of the meeting, some of the group pledged to donate substantial amounts of their own money towards buying Gigg.
