MERTHYR extended their 100 per cent start to the season with victory over previously unbeaten Hanwell.
Playing controlled possession football the visitors deservedly went in front after 20 minutes when Ricardo Rees fired home from a Frazer Thomas pass.
Having saved well from Joseph Keeping earlier, Hanwell keeper George Legg had to sprawl at the feet of Rees eight minutes later to prevent the striker grabbing a second.
