SECOND-HALF goals from Andrew Burn and Jordan Lashley put Heaton Stannington through to the next round.
The home side weren’t helped by a red card for Chay Liddle in the 35th minute for a late challenge on Daniel Sayer. Aidan Heywood came the closest to a goal in the first half for the Hornets but his fierce shot was well saved by Lewis Brass.
Hebburn nearly got the breakthrough they deserved early in the second half, as Olly Martin’s looping cross was pushed over the bar by Brass.
