VILLA opened up their home campaign with defeat by newly promoted Raynes Park Vale.
In a first half of few chances, it the visitors went close to scoring when a shot cannoned off the crossbar before an in swinging free-kick from Hanworth’s Louis Collins, saw Smith in the Vale goal tip the ball around the post.
A Jermaine Green shot caught Terry Buss unsighted to give the visitors the lead after 51 minutes and six minpulled utes later Jordan Gallagher increased the lead with a curling shot from outside the box.
