BALA TOWN picked up a significant home win against Penybont to rob their visitors of their unbeaten start to the JD Cymru Premiership as they ran out 2-1 winners.
Osedi Abadaki set-up George Newell for the opening goal for the Lakesiders in the 18th minute and then Naim Aksan doubled the home advantage seven minutes later with his first goal of the season. That gave Penybont a mountain to climb in the second half.
They got a toe hold in the game on the hour mark when Mael Davies scored, but by then their proud boast of keeping three successive clean sheet...
