SALISBURY inflicted on Walton and Hersham a narrow victory from a game played in sweltering conditions.
The hosts started well, Charlie Gunson blazing over. The Whites fans had their hearts in their mouths when their keeper juggled and finally grasped the ball between his legs after smart interplay and a shot in the six-yard area.
Gunson had further opportunities to put the home side ahead shooting wide after 25 minutes.
