■NEWTON AYCLIFFE slipped down to 15th in the Northern Premier League East Standings, after they were edged out by Brighouse Town.
All the action came in the second half when Brighouse were quickest out of the traps after the interval and took a 48th minute lead when Mo Qasim latched onto a well-timed ball before slotting past Dan Cameron. Six minutes later, the hosts scored again when Jack Normanton rounded Cameron and rolled the ball into the bottom corner.
