■MERTHYR Town saw off fellow league opposition Dorchester Town with a deserved victory at Penydarren Park.
The Martyrs made an assertive start and opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Lewys Twamley. After winning the ball high up the pitch, the winger drove past his man, before guiding a brilliant left-footed strike past Lloyd Thomas. Midway through the first half, it was Tom Killick’s side who netted an equaliser via Leighton Thomas.
