CONSETT missed the chance to go top of the league, falling victim to a smash and grab by lowly Ossett.
The Steelmen were made to pay in a game where all goals came in the last few minutes.
Right-back Josh Baggs came close to scoring in the 18th minute when his dipping half volley came back off the post.
Wil Shaw and Scott Fenwick missed chances after the break, and a draw looked on the cards until TJ Ibrahim finished from close range on 86 minutes to put Ossett ahead.
