A THRILLER ended all square with Workington being the happier, having come back from two goals down.
The Reds had a great chance to take the lead from the penalty spot inside six minutes.George Wilkinson caught Steve Rigg, but Connor Tinnion’s low shot was brilliantly saved by Saul Deeney to his right.
Matlock made the most of that escape by scoring in the 16th minute, debutant Finlay Armond slipping through Josh Barnes to fire beyond Jim Atkinson for a wellworked goal.
