■ EVESHAM United won their first league game of the season against Bashley on the eighth attempt of asking.
Levi Steele was closest to scoring in the first half, but his effort was saved on the line by a Bashley defender.
The second half had a different feel about it, Evesham were creating more chances and they eventually paid off. Less than ten minutes from time, Alfie Dunn popped up at the third time of asking after two wonder saves from Bashley’s Ross Casey.
