Eastleigh 3-1 York City: Ruthless McCallum makes poor York pay

PAUL MCCALLUM established himself as the National League’s joint top goal-scorer with a second half brace which secured a fine win for Eastleigh over York City – but it was the Spitfires’ first half opener from Chris Maguire that had the home fans purring.

PAUL MCCALLUM established himself as the National League’s joint top goal-scorer with a second half brace which secured a fine win for Eastleigh over York City – but it was the Spitfires’ first half opener from Chris Maguire that had the home fans purring.
The former Sunderland midfielder will be a strong candidate for the National League’s goal of the season – a superb lob from fully 30 yards which gave Eastleigh the lead soon after the halfhour mark.
