HORNDEAN edged to victory over a Sheppey United side that looked leggy after their extra-time cup exploits in midweek.
After 15 minutes, the Ites’ first attack saw Jacob Lambert score from 12 yards out. On the half hour, Zack Willett cut inside and shot across Sheppey keeper Aiden Prall, but the ball hit a post.
