Young fans are the lifeblood of our clubs

I READ with interest the letter from David Hook complaining about children running around at football matches (Fans’ Forum, Oct 15).
At the club which I support and volunteer at, we have quite a few youngsters who attend.
A lot of them are usually mascots who play for our junior teams. Yes, they do run around a lot of times, making a fair bit of noise but to my knowledge, they never bothered anyone.
It’s the parents’ or the junior coaches’ responsibility to make sure they behave. Children are the lifeblood of the clubs’ future support.
