SOUTHEND’S four-match winning run came to an end as Boreham Wood hit back to claim a share of the spoils at the Mangata Pay UK Stadium.
The in-form Shrimpers looked on course for a fifth straight victory when Jack Bridge put them ahead from the penalty spot on 21 minutes.
But Wood levelled two minutes into the second halfwhen Erico Sousa burst down the right before cutting inside and beating Southend keeper Nick Hayes.
