ASHINGTON have paid tribute to hometown hero Sir Bobby Charlton, describing the Manchester United and England legend as ‘one of their own’.
Charlton, who scored 49 goals in 106 appearances for England, grew up with brother and fellow football legend Jack Charlton in the Northumberland town, which has become famous with producing several high-profile sports stars.
