COALVILLE Town edged through in the Izusu FA Trophy as Alvechurch slipped to their first home defeat of the season.
Captain JoeDoyle-Charles’ 43rd-minute header proved the difference in this first-round tie at Lye Meadow.
While Coalville undoubtedly had the better of the first half, a renewed performance from Church after the break could at least have salvaged a penalty shootout.
