BARRY’S BATTLE BOOSTED BY WIN

BARRY Town United climbed off the bottom of the table with a 1-0 win at fellow JD Cymru Premier new-boys Colwyn Bay.
Captain Kayne McLaggon’s superb solo goal two minutes into the second half was enough to seal only a second win in the top tier for Barry and saw them leapfrog their hosts, who were also promoted last season.
Cardiff Met University also enjoyed a fine away win, coming from a goal down to win 3-1 at Pontypridd United.
