Inconsistency of refs costs clubs

LAST Saturday, I attended a Step 3 Northern Premier League game as a neutral.
I was appalled to watch the referee issue nine yellow cards to the home side in the first half, often for ridiculous reasons, while not cautioning a single visiting player. His inconsistency was spectacular.
That club will now have to face the League Disciplinary Committee for exceeding six yellows, but it’s the ref who needs to explain himself.
