DEFENDING CHAMPS GO NINE CLEAR AT THE TOP

CHAMPIONS The New Saints went nine points clear at the top of the JD Cymru Premier with a 2-0 win over Newtown.
Craig Harrison’s side broke the deadlock just past the hour mark at Latham Park when Josh Daniels found the bottom corner after his initial effort was blocked.
Ben Clark made sure in stoppage time when he collected the ball 25 yards out and found the net with a superb bending effort.
It secured TNS their ninth league victory in succession.
