■EVER-IMPROVING Bootle are now up to eighth in the table after they recorded their fifth win in six games.
Hanley Town goalkeeper Tommy Jackson made a fine double save to deny Ben Hodkinson the game’s opening goal.
Tom Peterson eventually broke the deadlock just before the hour mark when he headed beyond Jackson.
