TEN-MAN Sholing held on for a comeback victory at Basingstoke thanks to a brace from Dan Mason and a defiant performance from goalkeeper Ryan Gosney.
Sholing had an early spell of pressure, culminating in Paul Strudley tipping Daniel Miller’s header over the bar but the hosts came back, Brad Wilson seeing a goal-bound volley blocked on the line before Liam Ferdinand’s jinking run led to Gosney making his first big save.
