■ MUHAMADOU Ceesay bagged a brace as Thatcham won at Sutton.
It was a lightning start by the visitors, with Ceesay scoring in the opening minute.
Debutant goalkeeper Oshawn Brown then saved well from Ceesay as the visitors dominated, and it was 2-0 after 21 minutes when Ceesay was given space in the box and his low header squirmed beyond Brown.
Midway through the half, Aaron Jenkins stung the hands of Thatcham keeper Callum Smart in Rovers’ first meaningful attack.
