HEDNESFORD claimed not only their first home league win of the season, but also their first double following the 1-0 victory at The Red Industries Stadium back in August.
Early on, Jai Verma forced a decent save from Newcastle keeper Daniel Harrison. It was Verma again, finding space in the box, but his shot was straight at Harrison. Max Martin was the next to go close, with his header well saved by the keeper.
In added on time at the end of the half Josh Endall went close, before Verma put the home side ahead with a stunning run and shot past Harriso...
